MCI Recognizes Anchor Transportation Technician as New Master Technician Graduate

Des Plaines, Illinois, USA – July 27, 2026(TSX: NFI, OTC: NFYEF, TSX: NFI.DB) Motor Coach Industries (MCI), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. (NFI) and North America’s motor coach leader backed by reliable in-field technical expertise, 24/7 roadside assistance, and parts support, is proud to recognize Kaleb McCain, a Bus Mechanic with Anchor Transportation, for graduating from the MCI Academy Master Technician program.

Based at Anchor Transportation, McCain has been with the company for three and a half years and works primarily on MCI’s J4500 model. Through the Master Technician program, McCain has achieved certification demonstrating advanced knowledge and expertise in maintaining and servicing motor coach systems.

The Master Technician program combines hands-on training in Louisville, Kentucky, with online coursework, covering essential coach systems and typically taking several years to complete. McCain completed the program in approximately two years after finishing all required courses.

“My motivation was to advance my skills so I could better support my company and continue growing as a technician,” said Kaleb McCain.

Throughout the program, McCain found HVAC training to be among the most challenging yet most impactful.

“The HVAC and electrical training helped tremendously and made it much easier to understand what’s going on with the bus,” McCain added.

McCain credits strong support from both work and home throughout the process.

“My wife and family were incredibly supportive, and my supervisors always made sure I knew I was doing a good job,” McCain said. “Anchor Transportation has given me opportunities that most companies wouldn’t, and they continue to treat me extremely well.”

MCI Academy provides training for technicians at all levels, combining online and hands-on instruction to support safe, reliable motorcoach operation and maintenance.
