Bus Option Definitions - Option FFP

A Proheat XL-45 45,000 BTU/hr (maximum rated) diesel-fired auxiliary heater will be provided to augment the temperature of engine coolant for coach heating. There will be a separate driver's HVAC module.

1. 45,000 BTU/hr minimum supplement heat.
2. Installed in engine compartment easily accessible for service.
3. Operate on the same fuel as the chassis engine.
4. Includes a thermostat; a circulating pump (automatically activate when engine preheater is turned on); and connected directly to the engine coolant system.
5. Capable of starting and operating at minus 40°F and heat the engine to plus 40°F in not more than one hour.
6. Controls in drivers area with a light visible to the driver to indicate that the preheater is operating.
7. Programmable timer.
8. The FFP is standard.
