MCI® J4500 ranks top seller in second quarter 2012
Setra Top-Class S 417 on the board

SCHAUMBURG, IL — August 13, 2012 — Built to be reliability driven, the MCI J4500 has once again taken the top sales spot in National Bus Trader's just-released second-quarter 2012 trend report, which tracks industry coach sales. The J4500 achieved the same position in the first quarter of 2012 and at the close of 2011; 2011 also marked the model's eighth year as the best-selling coach in the U.S. and Canada.

The second-quarter report also ranked the popular MCI® D4000 fifth in sales. The Setra® Top-Class S 417 completed the Hit Parade of popular coaches, ranking seventh. With the acquisition of the distribution rights for the Setra coach brand from Daimler Bus, MCI now markets and provides service support to both the Setra S 407 and Setra S 417 coach models.

Redesigned for 2013, the MCI J4500 coach nevertheless fits in with existing fleets, offering heightened curb appeal and workhorse reliability. New features include LED headlamps that are brighter, more durable and easy to service. A new, more modern smooth rear cap provides more space for brand messaging. Wide-ride suspension, electronic stability control, a SmartWave® tire-pressure monitoring system and a fire suppression system are standard. Options include a steerable tag axle for a tighter turning radius, three-point seatbelts, 110-volt power outlets and Wi-Fi connectivity. Powertrain optimization is delivering double-digit fuel economy gains in some applications.

The Setra S 417 sets an exceptionally high standard in motor coach travel. From the easy entry point to the ergonomically designed seating with integrated seatbelts, passengers feel pampered and protected. The interior cabin is appointed with LED reading lights, aisle lighting anda premium entertainment system, along with rear window and TopSky glass roof options. The Front Collision Guard (FCG), cornering lights and rain/light sensors are just a few of the features contributing to the model's safety. Vehicle monitoring capabilities with integrated tire monitoring and onboard diagnostics ensure that drivers and maintenance professionals are equipped to increase uptime.
