Mr. Paul Soubry, President and Chief Executive Officer

Paul Soubry, ICD.D, joined New Flyer as President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2009. Mr. Soubry holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba and completed the executive development program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Soubry has a strong sales, marketing, business development and operations background in businesses held by both trade and private equity owners, with substantial experience in business transformations and LEAN operational practices. Prior to joining New Flyer, Mr. Soubry worked for StandardAero for four years where he held a variety of increasingly senior positions including being named President in 2001, Chief Operating Officer in 2006, and Chief Executive Officer in 2007. Mr. Soubry currently serves on the boards of True North Sports and Entertainment Limited/Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club and the Winnipeg Airports Authority. He has also served on the board of the Mondetta Clothing Company and Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. In 2003, Mr. Soubry was named one of the recipients of "Canada's Top 40 under 40" award, was inducted in the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Hall of Fame in 2014, and recognized as Canada's 2016 CEO of the Year by the Financial Post. Mr. Soubry is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and a graduate of the Directors Education Program.
Ian Smart,  President, Motor Coach Business

Mr. Ian Smart, President, Motor Coach Business

Ian joined New Flyer in 2011. He is responsible for the development and execution of operational strategy and performance of the Motor Coach business unit. He provides overall leadership and direction for the operations, and is responsible for the operational footprint of the Motor Coach business unit, which includes manufacturing, facilities and process engineering, product engineering, strategic sourcing and materials management, quality and continuous improvement and program management. Safety, quality, delivery, working capital management, cost performance and resource management are all also key areas of responsibility. Ian was the Senior Vice President for Airlines and Fleets at Standard Aero with responsibility for revenue of nearly $600M and over 900 people having customers and facilities all over the world. Prior to his most recent role, Ian held various executive level positions such as Vice President Corporate Strategy, Vice President Marketing & Business Development and Vice President of the StandardAero's largest Business Unit. Ian was also the project leader of the privatization and implementation of LEAN at a United States Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
Brian Dewsnup, President, Aftermarket Parts Business

Mr. Brian Dewsnup, President, NFI Parts Business

Brian is the President of the New Flyer and MCI aftermarket parts businesses. He is responsible for Aftermarket Sales and Business Development, Business Systems, Publications, Training, Warranty, Smart Bus Technology and Aftermarket Supply Chain and Distribution. Brian was previously the CFO of North American Bus Industries (NABI) which was acquired by New Flyer in 2013. Prior to that Brian served as Controller of Johns Manville's Waterville operations - a Berkshire Hathaway Company, and held various finance capacities at Ford Motor Company and Visteon Corporation. Brian has an MBA in Finance, a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
David White, Executive Vice President, Supply Management

Mr. David White, Executive Vice President, Supply Management

David began his New Flyer career in 1998 as Corporate Controller, and in 2002 moved from Finance into Supply Management as the Vice President. He is responsible for Strategic Sourcing, Supply and Logistics and Materials Management, and his team contributes to the bids and pricing process. Prior to New Flyer, David worked for eight years with Deloitte as a Chartered Accountant. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) in Finance from the University of Manitoba, and obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1993.
Sandra Morison, Vice President of Finance, CPA, CMA

Ms. Sandra Morison, Vice President of Finance, CPA, CMA

Sandra, a Certified Public Accountant, was named MCI's Vice President of Finance in 2017. In this role, she oversees all financial functions and analysis for MCI including providing financial guidance in support of the company's strategic goals. Sandra first joined the finance division in 1990. Over the course of her career, Sandra served as Chief Financial Officer for MCI's Canadian and Pembina North Dakota operations from 2004 to 2011 and as MCI's Chief Financial Officer from 2012 to 2016. Sandra was also Assistant Controller for CanWest Business Services, a division of CanWest Global Communications Corporation from 2002 to 2003. She obtained her CPA (CMA) designation in 1999.
Patrick Scully, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Mr. Patrick Scully, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Patrick is a significant contributor to MCI's long-term planning and tactical execution of strategic sales plans, responsible for the sales and marketing teams that represent MCI coach models in the private and public sector markets. He began his career in the North American bus business as a service parts sales representative for Ontario Bus Industries in 1988, moving to the bus sales team in 1991 and becoming General Sales Manager in 1993. He joined Detroit Diesel Corporation in 1994 rising to Vice President of Worldwide Bus and Coach Sales in 1995. When Detroit Diesel was sold to Daimler in 2001, Patrick transferred to Daimler's Setra motor coach division as its President and in 2003 played a leadership role in the creation of Daimler Buses North America as Chief Commercial Officer responsible for sales, service and parts operations for the Setra, Orion and Sprinter Shuttle Bus brands. When MCI acquired the Setra brand distribution rights in 2012, Patrick joined MCI as an Executive Vice President. In 2017, he was named Outstanding Public Transportation Business Member by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), awarded for his outstanding contributions to the public transportation industry. Patrick holds a Master's in Business Administration from Concordia University in Montreal.
Pablo Batista, Vice President, Procurement


Pablo leads the team responsible for implementing global sourcing strategies that support MCI's goals and annual operating plans. With an emphasis on building a reliable supply chain and strong supplier relationships, Pablo and his team help drive continuous improvement with processes and systems that enhance MCI's competitive advantages and reliability of its products. Pablo was formerly MCI's Director of Sourcing from 2015 until May 2017, when he was named to his current position. He also held prior positions at MCI from 1996 through 2002, including Executive Director of Plant Operations. Apart from MCI, Pablo worked for other Winnipeg-based manufacturers, including New Flyer Industries (now MCI's parent company), as Senior Program Manager from 2004 through 2007; IMRIS, a medical device company, as Executive Vice President of Operations from 2007 through 2013; and Westeel, an industrial storage system manufacturer, as Vice President of Operations and Engineering from 2013 through 2015. Pablo began his career with Ford Motor Company in Mexico City, Mexico, also working for other automotive OEM suppliers including as an Engineering Manager for Dina Autobuses in Sahagun, Hidalgo, Mexico, from 1994 through 1996. Pablo holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from La Salle University, Mexico City.
Jim Macdonald, Vice President, Quality and Customer Service

Jim has been part of the engineering and quality group at MCI's Winnipeg plant since 2004. He is responsible for the Quality and Customer Service group at MCI, where he provides overall leadership and direction for factory and field quality, warranty, field technical support and MCI service centers in the U.S. and Canada. Jim was previously the Director of Engineering and the Executive Director of Engineering and Quality at MCI. Prior to joining MCI, Jim held various operations, engineering, and quality roles with Kraus Global Inc. and Bristol Aerospace Ltd in Winnipeg. Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees from the University of Manitoba.
John Paul (JP) Pelletier, Vice President, Engineering

Mr. John Paul (JP) Pelletier, Vice President, Engineering

JP leads all engineering design activities including product development, sustaining engineering, customer orders, customer service engineering and project management. JP first joined MCI as an Engineer-In-Training in 1998, and moved into several other positions in MCI's engineering organization, including Manager of Mechanical Engineering. In 2008, he joined Suncor Energy as a Project Manager and returned to MCI's operations team in 2011 as Director of Quality. He became Director of Engineering in 2014, and was named to his current position in January 2017. JP holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba and has been a registered professional engineer since 2004.
Mark Renton, Vice President, Manufacturing and Facilities

Mr. Mark Renton, Vice President, Manufacturing and Facilities

Mark joined MCI in 2014 as Director of Production Control and Logistics at the Fort Garry, Winnipeg plant and quickly assumed responsibility for operations there as Executive Director Manufacturing. In his current role, Mark adds Frank Fair Industries and MCI's Pembina, North Dakota plants to his responsibilities. Before joining MCI, Mark held senior supply chain positions at Daimler Buses North America at its former Orion Bus subsidiary and at McDonnell Douglas' Canadian operations. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen's University and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Ryerson University in Toronto.
Denis Sutton, Vice President, Human Resources

Mr. Denis Sutton, Vice President, Human Resources

Denis joined MCI in April 2014 as Vice President of MCI Human Resources. He brings a depth of experience supporting strategic planning, team development, leadership, rewards and compensation and recruitment. His responsibilities at MCI also include labor relations and he is the Chief Spokesperson for Collective Bargaining. Prior to MCI, Denis was Executive Vice President of Human Resources with IMRIS, makers of advanced inter operative surgical suites. Before that, he was Senior Vice President of Human Resources at MTS Allstream and held top HR positions at a number of leading companies in Manitoba. Early in his career, Denis was Director of Personnel and Industrial Relations at Bristol Aerospace Limited. He is a board member of Maitland, Florida-based HRsoft, a talent management software provider; a management member of the Manitoba Labour Board and has served as chair for the Conference Board of Canada's HR Council West, on two separate occasions. He also served as an executive member of Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club Board of Directors. Denis has an executive MBA from the Banff School of Advanced Management; a certificate in Human Resources; and completed Business Administration, majoring in Marketing and Administration at Red River College in Winnipeg.
Tim Nalepka, Vice President, General Council, and Secretary

Mr. Tim Nalepka, Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary

Tim is responsible for the overall management of legal and risk management functions at MCI. He joined MCI as Senior Counsel in January 1997 and was promoted to his current position in November 1998. Prior to MCI, Tim was Senior Counsel for Sears, Roebuck and Co. from 1989 to 1996, and a litigator in Chicago from 1983 to 1989. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Illinois with honors, including Phi Beta Kappa in 1980 and his Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law, with honors, including Order of the Coif, in 1983. He served in the US Army from 1973 to 1976.
