Genuine Allison filters and more at MCI The cost of routine maintenance is getting lower. Effective January 1, 2006, the list price of Genuine Allison Gold Series filters for the Allison B500 will be reduced by 50%. According to Allison Transmission, using Genuine Allison Gold Series filters and TranSynd™ synthetic transmission fluid can extend fluid/filter change intervals up to 400% more than when using conventional fluid and other filters. Fluid and filter change intervals for a B500 transmission without retarder can be increased up to 75,000 miles and for a B500 with retarder, up to 50,000 miles. (Note: the main filter should be replaced every 5,000 miles. A main filter kit list price is $20.00.) TranSynd fluid change intervals can be increased through oil sampling. Both TranSynd and Genuine Allison Gold Series filters are available at MCI service centers and authorized Allison distributor/dealers. Allison B500 ReTran® models readily available Genuine Allison ReTran models are remanufactured transmissions built to Allison's current factory specifications and come with a two-year unlimited mileage worldwide warranty.
