With MCI's J4500 continuing its reign as North America's best-selling coach, and the D-Series continuing to stand as the industry's all-time best-seller, MCI isn't messing with success for 2010 — it's just improving upon it. Of course, the biggest change to MCI coaches will be the latest generation of EPA-compliant engines that will start showing up on MCI models later in the year (customers who want new coaches with 2009 engines still have time to buy). Most other changes are improvements in handling, safety and durability. Most notably, electronic stability control will be standard on 2010-model E4500 and D-Series coaches as well as on the J4500, and all coaches will come standard with Amerex fire suppression, traction control and LED cornering lamps. Customers will notice side markers stay illuminated during daylight for better visibility and added elegance, along with an array of new trim, floor and seating options.
Some of the more subtle improvements include RV-style hookup and better lighting in lavatories; door and hinge refinements; under-the-hood refinements including a rear suspension check valve and a better main evaporator coil; and much more.

All common options are available, along with an optional enhanced audiophile system, halogen cornering lights and blue LED ceiling aisle lighting.

MCI D-Series coaches continue to offer the same wide range of features, amenities and options. MCI also offers a hybrid-electric version. Driven by the latest clean-diesel engine technology from Cummins along with the Allison Ep 50 Electric Drive Propulsion System, the MCI Hybrid delivers impressive power, lower noise levels and significantly reduced emissions. The MCI Hybrid can also be delivered with an all-electric air conditioning system that can run without idling the coach.
Since operators face different marketconditions, MCI has put together several option packages, including Passenger Enjoyment, Commuter, High-Spec and LX-Factory options. Customers can also opt for popular Fast Track coaches equipped with MCI's most-requested features and options.
