MCI unveils two heart-racing models amid a wedding at UMA EXPO 2005 If you're passionate about good-looking motor coaches, MCI unveiled two to capture operators' and passengers' hearts alike. The E4500 LX and 40-foot D4005 show the long and short of luxury. Both models mark a milestone for MCI: the E4500 LX for over-the-top luxury and the new-style D4005 for its renewed beauty and familiar reliability. Cupid planned a pairing, too. A couple that fell in love while working in an industry they love tied the knot in MCI's Booth 1201 on Wednesday, February 23. A party followed at the Stratosphere with dancing to a live rock 'n' roll band; rides on the world's highest rollercoaster; and chances to win great prizes, including a Holland America Cruise. The UMA festivities continued on Thursday, February 24, when MCI honored Holland America Tours, Seattle, for the addition of its 50th E4500 coach to its fleet and Tri-State Tours, Galena, Illinois, for being the first to take delivery of MCI's new-style D4005. Drawings for the Holland America Cruise took place at the Stratosphere party; and again at MCI's booth at on February 24 and 25. Setting a new gold standard in luxury At its unveiling, the luxurious E4500 marked a breakthrough in design. Now the E4500 LX custom-modified coach surpasses the imagination. Marked by unbridled opulence, the LX feature upgrades galore including saddle-toned genuine leather seating and accents. The mid-cabin opens up to a lounge area featuring dual conference tables and a rear galley with Euro-style cabinetry and solid-surface counters. The MCI® E4500 LX is offered in conjunction with conversion specialist Amadas Coach. Future forward MCI's D4005 marks a new beginning without starting over. Reliability and longevity have been the hallmark of MCI's D-Series, and a makeover positions the model for years to come. Outside, the D-coach will sport frameless side-sash windows; new flared headlights and directionals; curvier caps, trim and driplines; and a sleeker door and bumper. The inside steel framing and proven componentary that have made this model an all-time bestseller will stay. Bringing it all together MCI Fleet Support also exhibited at UMA EXPO. For an insider's look at how the company is going further in service and parts, visitors at Booth 301 learned the details on maintenance plans, collision repair, paint, wheelchair lifts retrofits and new-style D retrofits. The Fleet Support exhibit also included demonstrations of its updated new electronic parts manual, online shopping and warranty claims tracking. Test drives A J4500 with a CAT C-13 engine and ZF AS Tronic transmission were available for test drives, as will as an MCI pre-owned E4500 with a limited "like new" warranty. In addition, MCI showcased a D4500 coach with a new-style retrofit. |
