Motor Coach Canada and MCI team up to issue comprehensive Training Guide for Canada's new Driver Hours of Service Regulations

Canada's driver hours of service rules for bus drivers are changing significantly in 2007. Motor coach drivers, dispatchers and sales personnel will need to be trained to optimize productivity while complying with the rules, and MCI and Motor Coach Canada have a plan.

MCI is sponsoring a comprehensive instructor's guide produced by Motor Coach Canada to help coach companies train their staffs. "MCC's training manual is unique because it's focused totally on bus drivers, setting it apart from other commercially available training products," said Brian Crow, MCC president. "This package is being developed by MCC's own hours-of-service experts who know the bus industry and the regulatory requirements."

MCC's training package will include an instructor's guide with step-by-step lesson plans for trainers to follow, a CD ROM containing an animated PowerPoint presentation that illustrates all the key principles, a copy of the new federal regulation, the CCMTA Hours of Service Interpretation Guide, and a driver handbook.
