MCI reduces prices on many Canadian parts

Now there's yet another reason why things are looking up — and down — for MCI's Canadian customers. After initially releasing its 2010 price book in February, MCI's parts division lowered its prices last month.

"We looked at the exchange rates and reduced our prices on 1,400 line items by an average of about nine percent," says Jeralyn Schumacher, manager of pricing and bids. "We did it to be more competitive, and customers are already noticing."

The included parts run the gamut from fast-moving wear items to more unusual parts. "This is just the first step," says Schumacher. "We are reviewing all of our parts prices as a whole."

"We're listening to the market and our customers," says Stan Dzierzega, director of supply chain. "We're doing this to be in tune with the marketplace and retain our competitive position in Canada."

MCI is known in the industry for having one of the largest inventories available for nearly all makes and models, including a vast array of OEM items as well as MCI's proprietary Coach Guard brand.

While Parts Solutions Specialists have been getting the word out to customers, the best way to find out what's available, and at what price, is by logging onto MCI's Online Parts Store or calling 800-665-0155 (English) or 800-546-3457 (French).
