Dan Kemper joins MCI Public Sector sales team

SCHAUMBURG, IL — July 27, 2010 — Dan Kemper has joined the Public Sector division of Motor Coach Industries (MCI) as a Business Development Manager. Kemper will have responsibility for MCI Public Sector accounts in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, central eastern states and the Midwest (east of the Mississippi), along with the eastern Canadian provinces. He joins MCI from REI and a 10-year career as a regional sales representative with New Flyer of America.

Kemper, who also has automotive parts and tooling experience, brings strong customer service and technical knowledge to his position at MCI, where he will report to Tom Wagner, Director of Public Sector Sales. A native of Minnesota, Kemper resides outside St. Paul and holds a B.S. degree in business communication from Concordia College.

MCI's Public Sector markets the company's D-Series Commuter Coach to transit agencies in the U.S. and Canada. The model, which can be Buy-America compliant and is Altoona-tested in both its clean-diesel and hybrid model configurations, allows transit agencies to establish new routes or upgrade services, moving 57 passengers with only one driver while occupying only 45 feet of valuable curb space. The model offers favorable life-cycle costs along with the kind of comfort and amenities that lure commuters out of their cars and onto transit. MCI's Public Sector is also responsible for specialty markets including schools and universities and markets the industry's only ISTV (Inmate Security Transportation Vehicle) to correctional and prison facilities in the U.S. and Canada.
