Gary Myers, General Manager

Gary Myers has always thought big. In fact, his first industry job in 1980 was converting Detroit Diesel road engines for use in yachts. Ensuing jobs took him from the realm of the mechanical to the managerial, eventually heading up Penn Detroit Diesel's Allison Transmissions and Carrier Transicold divisions.

He has big plans for MCI's new Nashville-area service center too, having recently added technicians, expanded emergency on-call capabilities and doubled the facility's parts inventory. "I want to build strong relationships with my customers," says Myers, who spends as much time as possible calling on them. "I want them to know that I will
be there when they need me."

As a former customer service manager at MCI's Blackwood, New Jersey, facility, Myers knows a thing or two about building strong bonds — with both customers and with technicians. And with his fondness for country music, nurtured for years despite his Northeastern roots, Gary Myers is fitting right in.

"I believe we're on a roll," says Myers, "We're doing our best to give our Southern customers the best service they've ever had. The MCI coach is the best in the industry, and we've got the team to back it up."
