MCI SERVICE INFORMATION Auxiliary Heater Preventative Maintenance - D/E/J Models Preventative maintenance on a coach's auxiliary heater is a year round requirement. Even during the summer months when the heater isn't being used, it is still very important to maintain the unit. The easiest form of maintenance is to start and run the heater periodically. The suggested frequency is monthly, for about 10 minutes each time. Attached is a 10-step program put together by Webasto concerning year round maintenance of their heaters. Although Webasto has compiled this information, it is applicable to all brands of auxiliary heaters.
