Kneeling Feature Modification - E/J Coaches

Parts are available which allow the front end of the E and J model coaches to lower approximately 1.5 inches further when the coach kneeling system is activated. The new parts required for this modification are listed below:

No additional changes are required on the J model to lower the coach the additional distance, but the E model will require the Wabco ECAS suspension controller to be modified. This modification will have to be performed by either an MCI Service Center or an MCI Service Representative.

Product Improvement Bulletin #2846 has been issued that explains the proper procedure for performing this modification.
