Tag Axle Steering Manifold Air Leak

An air leak at the manifold for the tag axle steering on a 102DL3 can cause the low air light/alarm to stay on, preventing the coach from moving. If it cannot build air fast enough, you can disconnect the air supply line to the manifold and plug it temporarily. Everything will continue to work on the coach with the exception of the tag axle will stay locked and will not steer.

The primary cause of this air leak is the gaskets located between the air manifold and two solenoids that bolt to the manifold. MCI has released a product improvement bulletin, Service Bulletin Number 2739, explaining the procedure on how to eliminate these two gaskets.

Contact the MCI Service Center at (800) 241-2947 for more details.
