Bus Option Definitions - Option BCW

Cold weather package including the following:

  1. Coolant heater, 1500-watt minimum rating, located in the engine block.
  2. An oil pan heater of the permanent external surface mount or immersion type that meets the following requirements:
    1. Immersion type, not more than 10 watts per quart or less than 5 watts per quart heating capacity.
    2. Surface type not more than 18 watts per square inch or less than 9 watts per square inch heating capacity.
    3. Thermal balance design or thermostat control providing for uninterrupted operation.
    4. Provision for mounting below minimum service oil level.
  3. A Proheat XL-45 45,000 BTU/hr (maximum rated), diesel-fired auxiliary heater will be provided to augment the temperature of engine coolant for coach heating. There will be a separate HVAC driver's module.
  4. Heated fuel filter rated for the engine furnished shall be installed.
  5. Electrically heated outside rear view mirrors.
